Dungeons and prisons were constructed long before we understood the human vulnerability to trauma and its damaging impact. This section offers stories, cases, and general examples of the destructive nature of prison in a trauma-informed era. We hope to provoke discourse about how we can respond to interpersonal harm in more civil and humane ways.
