My Beloved Johnny

Nov 18, 2025

I loved Johnny with all my heart, second only to God. We were together for 13 years, 10 of them in a happy marriage. My previous marriage did not work out, but offered a contrast of what qualities in a man I wanted, needed.

Though in prison, Johnny was supportive, caring, selfless, and always treated me with respect. Even in our one disagreement he corrected me in a compassionate, honorable way. Johnny successfully helped me through a battle with breast cancer. He put me first.

On July 25, 2024, the love of my life suffered a catastrophic artiel rupture and died before he cold be properly helped. I was devastated. I cried, reflected on the great times we had together, the wonderful conversations, the joyous laughter. I questioned God why, and then forgave God.

I am grateful for the time God gave me with Johnny. It was the best time of my life! We are both believers in Christ and I have faith that I will meet up with Johnny again. For now I cherish the precious time we spent together and trust God that He has His reasons.
